دشّن وزير البيئة والمياه والزراعة المهندس عبدالرحمن بن عبدالمحسن الفضلي -في خطوة رائدة نحو تعزيز الوعي البيئي ونشر ثقافة الاستدامة- “مبادرة القائد الأخضر” تحت شعار “دربهم خضر” ضمن فعاليات “أسبوع البيئة 2025”, وذلك بحضور وزير الدولة للشؤون الخارجية عضو مجلس الوزراء والمبعوث لشؤون المناخ الأستاذ عادل بن أحمد الجبير.
ومن خلال هذه المبادرة يسعى صندوق البيئة إلى تعزيز الشراكة المجتمعية مع مختلف القطاعات لحماية البيئة، وتوجيه الجهود نحو تحقيق مستهدفات رؤية المملكة 2030 في مجال الاستدامة البيئية.
وتهدف المبادرة إلى نشر ثقافة الاستدامة البيئية إلى الطلاب والطالبات بجميع الفئات العمرية، من خلال برامج تعليمية تفاعلية ومبتكرة تجوب مدارس المملكة بجميع مناطقها, تركز على تعزيز الوعي البيئي والتشجيع على مواجهة التحديات البيئية وتعزيز الابتكار من أجل المناخ, وتحفيز التحول الأخضر في المجتمع.
ويأتي تدشين هذه المبادرة في إطار “أسبوع البيئة”، الذي يُعد مناسبة وطنية بيئية سنوية، تهدف إلى نشر الوعي البيئي المجتمعي وتحقيق الاستدامة البيئية والمحافظة على الموارد الطبيعية والحد من التلوث بمختلف أنواعه.
